NCSB courses in systems biology

NCSB offers three e-courses

introductory, web-based courses in systems biology

NCSB e-courses are fully web-based and are carried out individually.

Each e-course consists of

-   teaching material

-   recorded lectures

-   assignments to monitor progress

-   online-interaction with a tutor

The e-course can start any time and students can work at their own pace & time.

Each successful e-course student is awarded with a certificate (3 ECTS).

The e-courses are open to post-graduate scientists - PhD students, postdocs and other investigators holding a master degree - who (wish to) work in the field of systems biology and are working in the Netherlands.

NCSB offers the following three e-courses:

E-course 1: Basic Biology for Non-Biologists

This e-course gives scientists that have no training in biology an introduction in basic biomolecular and cell biological concepts.

E-course 2: Basic Modelling for Biologists

This e-course introduces biologists to basic quantitative modelling.

E-course 3: Elementary Calculus in Systems Biology

This e-course introduces basic mathematical concepts that are needed to create mathematical models of a biological system.
