Demonstration Competence Lab (DCL)

The Demonstration and Competence Laboratory (DCL) is located at Leiden University. It is created to facilitate the analysis of samples originating from the various studies which are planned in the scope of the Associate Research programme as well as the Core Development Programme of the NMC. Its main focus lies on the development and application of metabolomics-based technologies and instrumentation to address current and future challenges in biology, biotechnology and biomedical biomarker research.
These activities of the DCL serve the complete metabolomics pipeline, although the greater part of its efforts is directed towards the actual analysis of samples. However, advice and support is given to the preceding steps as well during the data analysis and interpretation of the results. Study design, randomization schemes as well as various data analysis methods can be applied from the DCL.
