Route description to Netherlands Metabolomics Centre,
Gorlaeus Laboratories, 6th Floor, rooms HB 625-730

By train:
Take the train to Leiden Central Station, 35 minutes from Amsterdam, 20 minutes from Amsterdam Schiphol airport, 10 minutes from Den Haag, 30 minutes from Rotterdam, 45 minutes from Utrecht.

By bus from the Central Station Leiden:
Take the bus numbered 43 (direction The Hague) and ask the driver for the busstop called "Universiteitsterrein".You will now see the Gorlaeus Laboratory in front of you 

By bike (10 minutes) by foot (25 minutes):
From the Central station Leiden you follow the Albinusdreef (in front of the Leiden University Medical Centre). At the roundabout turn left, the Sandifortdreef. Follow this street to the next roundabout and turn right (Zernikedreef) until you reach the Einsteinweg. The Einsteinweg brings you to the Gorlaeus Laboratory. De round saucer upon your right hand.

By car:
Traveling on the A 44 (either from Amsterdam or from The Hague)
Take exit no. 8: "Leiden/Valkenburg/Katwijk/Noordwijk/N206".
Coming from Den Haag at the end of the exit, turn right at the traffic lights.
Coming from Amsterdam at the end of the exit, turn left at the traffic lights.
Turn left at the second crossing with traffic lights and a sign "Bio Sciencepark".
You are now at the Einsteinweg, at the roundabout straight on, the round saucer upon your right hand are the Gorlaeus Laboratories.

Traveling on the A4, arriving from other directions:
Get on the A4 direction Amsterdam and Leiden. Take exit Zoeterwoude-Dorp and Leiden from A4. Leaving the highway, turn left on N 206 to Leiden Voorschoten. Then continue to follow N206 towards Leiden-Zuid and Katwijk. When there is a Bastion Hotel at the left, N206 turns right (Leiden-Zuid, Katwijk).

After about 3 km, N206 turns right (Amsterdam, Den Haag). Take this turn right and take the right lane: At the sign Centrum Naturalis, turn right and take the left lane.

Turn left at the sign Bio Science Park, you are now at the Einsteinweg. The Einsteinweg brings you to the Gorlaeus Laboratory. De round saucer upon your right hand.

The Gorlaeus building has 9 floors and a round front (see insert below on the map). If you enter the building, you have to go up the stairs. You see the reception on your left. Please ask the receptionist to phone the person, you want to see, and he or she will pick you up at this place. You might be asked to show your ID.
